Quick and delicious, this 15-minute kimchi fried rice recipe is perfect for a lazy dinner night.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped kimchi and sauté for a couple of minutes.
  3. Stir in the cooked rice and mix well.
  4. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang, and sugar. Stir to combine.
  5. Create a well in the center and crack the eggs into it.
  6. Scramble the eggs until fully cooked, then mix them into the rice.
  7. Garnish with green onions and serve.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less gochujang.
  • Feel free to add protein such as tofu or chicken for a heartier meal.
