  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tub whipped topping
  • 1/4 cup grated chocolate for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Mix until well blended.
  3. Pour the cherry pie filling into the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Spread the cake batter over the cherry filling.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool, then top with whipped topping and grated chocolate.
