- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons custard powder
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, melted butter, and shredded coconut. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 8-inch square pan.
- In another bowl, beat together powdered sugar, custard powder, and softened butter. Spread this mixture over the first layer in the pan.
- In a small saucepan, melt together the chocolate and butter over low heat. Once melted, pour the chocolate over the custard layer and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing into squares and serving.
Notes
- Chill the bars for longer for a firmer texture.
- Experiment with different types of chocolate for the top layer.
