  • 1 1/2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk until combined.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in cherries.
  5. In a separate bowl, prepare the streusel by mixing brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  6. Divide muffin batter among the lined muffin cups and sprinkle streusel on top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
